Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician - Manufacturing

Key Job Responsibilities:
Ensure day-to-day onsite compliance with EHS regulations
Provide environmental and safety onboarding and refresher training to new and existing employees
Conduct compliance audits
Conduct accident investigations and associated root-cause analysis investigations.
Provide expert guidance on implementation of safe work procedures and completing/updating JSAs.
Recommend and facilitate updates to site-specific EHS procedures
Assist with driving a culture of safety at assigned location
Perform preventative inspections on equipment such as AEDs, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, etc.
Conduct environmental inspections and sampling (stormwater, SPCC, hazardous waste)
Serve as a SME on EHS related topics
Participate on safety committee
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum experience 2 years in a similar position, associate's degree in EHS or combination of education and experience
Knowledgeable in Safety (preferred manufacturing) regulations
Fluent in English as well as native language (if different)
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate and inspire others
Ability to speak in front of large groups
Self-motivated, driven, and positive attitude
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
Preferred qualifications:
Spanish fluency
Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations/requirements
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Physical Demands:
Lifting requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. to 37 inches high.
Vertical Lift requirements: Ability to lift up to 42 lbs. to 52 inches high.
Carry requirements: Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.
Dexterity requirements: Ability to assemble small pieces such as nuts, washers.
Ability to sustain a crouched position and reach repeatedly across a barrier.
Standing hours: Approx. 50%
Computer hours: Approx. 50%
Work environment is fast paced, noise and temperature levels can vary.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must pass a drug screen
Must pass a background check
We do require you to complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) to make sure you are physically capable of performing the work. This must be completed prior to starting.
Safety:
If your role requires the wearing of steel-toed boots, the company will reimburse employees $50 per pair every two years.
