Java Developer (Genesys IVR)
Location: Pennington, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months
Role Overview
As a Software Engineer on our team, you will work alongside talented IVR developers who are passionate about delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable self-service solutions for the contact center. You will design, develop, test, and support IVR applications operating in a modern Cloud environment, using engineering best practices and high-quality development standards. This role is integral to shaping solutions that drive business outcomes and ensuring our systems reflect technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and enhance IVR applications using modern engineering practices and Cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design solutions that align with strategic business goals.
  • Ensure high-quality code delivery through strong development, testing, and quality control practices.
  • Lead and mentor developers as part of an agile team, fostering a culture of learning and teamwork.
  • Troubleshoot, support, and continuously improve existing IVR applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in planning, estimation, and technical discussions that guide the direction of our solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development experience with complex applications.
  • Previous experience with Speech-enabled IVR development using Genesys or Nuance Framework.
  • A strong track record of delivering software through multiple full project implementations.
  • Experience leading developers within an agile, fast-paced engineering environment.

Technical Skills:
  • Genesys IVR.
  • Java/JavaScript, Spring, Groovy, and VXML.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools such as GitHub CoPilot.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with deploying contact center solutions in a private or public cloud environment.
  • Experience in building or deploying applications on the MS Azure or OpenShift platform.
