SODE-STUDENT SERVICES - Adult Center Graduate Assistant

Position summary
This graduate assistant serves as the primary academic advisor and marketing assistant for the Online Undergraduate Spanish Ministry Certificate and assists the Adult Center Director with research, course design, and student service video tutorials.

Able to commit to 15-20 hours of work per week for 2 years
Duties and responsibilities
  • Coordinate inquiries, onboarding, advising, and online student service for Hispanic students in the Spanish Ministry Undergraduate Certificate
  • Help with adult center student services, including research and problem solving
  • Serve as the graduate assistant to the Adult Center Director for course development, teaching, and assessment tasks
  • Help with online exam proctoring in peak exam weeks

Supervisory responsibilities
May assist with teaching other student workers
Qualifications
Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish skills
Organized, proactive, and caring problem solver
Teaching, tutoring or advising and research experience preferred
Able to commit to 15-20 hours of work per week for 2 years
Technical competencies
Proficient use of Office 365 Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Willing to learn multiple applications to support work
Experience in webpage and video editing a plus
Interpersonal interactions
An excellent communicator, comfortable taking initiative to email, call, text and video conference with students around the world
