TWO Litigation Legal Assistant Opportunities in Columbus!

Aspen Careers is partnering with a prestigious law firm to find two Legal Assistants to join their business litigation teams. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, particularly in managing claims, litigation filings, and client communications. One legal assistant will be supporting the general litigation/creditors' rights group and the other will be supporting the global business with M&A and trade compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys in the business litigation area.
  • Prepare, format, and file legal documents.
  • Manage and maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings with clients, experts, and court personnel.
  • Open new client matters.
  • Enter attorney time and process reimbursements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client and case interactions.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in Business Litigation, Global Business, M&A, Corporate Governance, Education, Creditors' Rights or Trade Compliance. General Litigation experience as well.
  • Confident with project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
