Summary
The VP, Head of Technology Architecture & Solutions will influence various business units and clients spanning different use cases and areas of focus within the real estate sector.  This role will partner with business leaders in each of these areas to identify common technology gaps, and areas of opportunity to develop new technology that can support multiple business units/clients. This role will need to be able to understand the overarching architecture for the business units/clients, and then create a common architecture to optimize and deliver new technology across business units/clients. Areas of technology could include ERP, Application Development, Data Services (Data Engineering/BI/Machine Learning) and Cloud Infrastructure. This role will create a roadmap for these new technology initiatives, and oversee the execution of technical delivery. This person will need to be able to influence various business units/clients to ensure streamlined implementation of new technology services.  
What you'll be doing
  • Lead the technology operational and strategic planning for our industrial asset class, which includes fostering innovations, managing and executing projects, prioritizing initiatives and conceptualizing new technology products and solutions
  • Comprehend business problems, processes and insights to translate into actionable items that will develop a technology roadmap and design, iterating on those designs based on portfolio company feedback, user research, technology constraints and market dynamics
  • Building a deep understanding of portfolio company needs, market opportunities and competition through research and design exploration
  • Partner with the Head of PMO to ensure technology cost transparency and management 
  • Manage third party consultants in their delivery of services and negotiate resource allocation
  • Stay abreast of technology advances and changes in the real estate market to provide the business with further ability to differentiate and improve capabilities
  • Design products and solutions, managing and executing projects, and oversee third party management (managing third party consulting orgs that will delivery projects), and oversight of a business analyst and technologist
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business customers. Developing a strong working knowledge of the company's business and drive the business relationship with key internal partners
  • Manage one or more direct reports supporting execution of projects and portfolio company relationship management

Skills we're seeking
  • 10+ years of total experience in IT
  • 4+ years of experience in an IT Leadership position
  • Current or previous technical experience, and the ability to architect technology solutions across IT disciplines (ERP, software development, data services, cloud infrastructure)
