Merchant services refer to a broad range of financial services designed to help businesses accept and process payments, typically from credit and debit cards. These services often include payment processing, point-of-sale (POS) systems, online payment gateways, and fraud protection tools. Merchant services providers act as intermediaries between businesses, customers, and banks to ensure secure and efficient transactions. By using merchant services, businesses can expand their payment options, streamline operations, and improve the customer experience.

What are some common challenges faced in a merchant services role and how can they be managed?

Professionals in Merchant Services often encounter challenges such as navigating complex payment processing systems, resolving transaction disputes, and staying updated with changing industry regulations. Managing these challenges typically involves maintaining strong attention to detail, proactively communicating with merchants and payment partners, and participating in ongoing training to remain knowledgeable about new products and compliance requirements. Building strong relationships with clients and internal teams is also key to efficiently addressing issues and providing excellent customer service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in merchant services, and why are they important?

We offer a base salary, commissions, a travel reimbursement program, health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), and a 401k!
These two products, Point of Sale devices and Merchant Services (can be sold separately or bundled together for best value), provide our sales team with two different ways of earning our generous commission compensation.

Even if you only sell 10 of each per month, you can earn over $65,000 per year. That alone would put you into the top 20% of earners in the entire United States!
Our team looks for highly self-motivated individuals who thrive on achieving success with their strong people skills.
We would ideally like to see some experience in selling either point of sale or merchant services solutions, but we are totally open to those looking to start their own career.
Bilingual is a plus, but not a requirement.
