In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be expected to:

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patients' abilities and challenges and create customized treatment plans that promote healing and mobility enhancement.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate care initiatives for complex patient cases.
• Maintain superior customer service as you interact with patients across various ages and backgrounds, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the rehabilitation process.
• Adhere to meticulous documentation practices that comply with regulatory standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Participate in leadership roles that include community outreach to raise awareness about orthopedic health, developing continuous quality improvement projects, and supervising junior staff.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending relevant workshops and educational programs to elevate your practice.

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions that affect mobility. Your expertise will help individuals regain strength, improve function, and alleviate pain, ultimately enhancing their quality of life. The clinic's diverse patient population requires sensitivity to different backgrounds and the ability to tailor treatment plans that respect cultural differences.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state licensure in physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using word processing software and healthcare-related computer applications.

While a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation settings, particularly with joint mobilization techniques.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities and technology.
• A background in quality improvement initiatives or program development in a clinical setting.
