COMPANY INFORMATION:

Since 1983, Truck Writers' mission has been to become business partners with our clients and insurance providers in the transportation industry, facilitate their insurance and related business needs, and continually improve our services to respond in a timely fashion.


DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

Our growing agency seeks an experienced, motivated Account Manager to help clients find and retain the appropriate insurance coverages for their trucking operations.Primary duty is to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service while managing the renewal process. The position provides technical and communications support to the Producer(s) responsible for selling and retaining accounts. We need an organized individual who can handle correspondence with agency clients and carriers in a timely fashion. The successful candidate for this role will have strong communication and organization skills.


ACCOUNT MANAGER DUTIES:

  • Keep all accounts current, reflecting accurate information in our agency management system (Applied Epic)
  • Prepare/Market new and renewal business according to market appetite
  • Order, analyze and approve/decline MVRs
  • Review and interpret client contracts to place coverage accordingly
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and round out accounts
  • Complete remarketing submissions (via Acord forms and/or supplemental apps)
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverage, limits, deductibles and other pertinent information
  • Bind renewal coverage in a timely fashion
  • Update file and all systems accordingly in order to issue renewal documents
  • Consistently meet established timeline metrics throughout each step in the process
  • Gather information (i.e., equipment & driver lists, updated contact information, etc.)
  • Assist clients and company with claims related inquiries
  • Handle telephone, email and in person requests and correspondence
  • Utilize discretion and independent judgment
  • Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance license preferred, or the ability to obtain within 30 days if not already licensed
  • 2+ years of account management or similar experience
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous with clients at all times
  • Skilled in working collaboratively with a team in a professional manner on a daily basis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and solution-oriented
  • Strong ability to prioritize
  • Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure

WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-time: 8am-4:30pm, Monday thru Friday
