Service Writer (Advisor) Position

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Position is responsible for customer communication and interaction, technician coordination, and billing administration.
  • Answer incoming service calls from customers and provide customer-friendly communication on scheduling and billing.
  • Answer customer technical questions when applicable or assign to proper personnel.
  • Positive interface with service techs, leadership team, parts department, drivers, vendors and customers.
  • Strong technical/mechanical background is helpful and excellent customer service skills a must.
  • Keep scheduling records up to the minute and provide updates when necessary to customers and management.
  • Maintain a high standard of organization.
  • Might be dispatching techs and assigning work as necessary to provide optimum operating efficiency and customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and manage customer interactions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Able to abide by and enforce the policies and procedures of Thermo King Sales & Service.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or certification a plus).
  • Experience in Service writing/coordinating.
  • Ability to work with several computer-based programs including Microsoft office.
  • Ability to learn and be proficient in using company’s business system program.
  • Use computers for web-based training.
  • Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
  • Solid written & communication skills.
  • Must have a clean driving record and pass drug screening before employment.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently while displaying a professional and confident relationship with the customer.
