Job description

Position: Administrative Assistant
Location: East Chicago, IN
Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive support to the Director-level team. Provides administrative and secretarial services requiring poise and independent judgment while incorporating knowledge of system operations, a command of office procedures, and a high degree of proficiency in office computer operations, i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Epic, etc. This position is a member of the Administrative Team and reports directly to the Director.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of clerical/administrative experience required.
  • Previous EPIC experience preferred.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) required.
  • Secretarial, business and communications courses preferred.
  • Typing is required - 50 WPM.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated organizational and public relations skills.
  • Ability to operate all office machines, including photo copiers, calculators, multi-line telephones, personal computers with Microsoft Outlook, and fax machines.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
