Assistant Parts Manager – Elmsford, NY (Full-Time | Direct-Hire)
About the Role

This Full-Time, Direct-Hire position is based on-site in Elmsford, NY.
The Assistant Parts Manager supports the daily operations of a busy, fast-paced automotive Parts Department. The role focuses on inventory accuracy, retail/wholesale/internal parts coordination, vendor communication, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. You’ll also assist in supervising staff and ensuring department performance meets expectations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily parts department operations to ensure efficiency and workflow

  • Assist with ordering, stocking, pricing, and cycle counts for parts inventory

  • Maintain accurate documentation for all parts transactions

  • Support internal service department as well as retail and wholesale parts sales

  • Help with training, scheduling, and supporting parts department staff

  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction standards across all interactions

  • Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers for timely and accurate parts deliveries

  • Monitor departmental expenses and support gross profit optimization

  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, OEM guidelines, and safety standards

  • Step in for the Parts Manager when required


Key Qualifications
  • Prior automotive parts experience; dealership experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of OEM and aftermarket parts

  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS)

  • Excellent organizational and inventory management skills

  • Strong communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license
