Highlights:

Summary: The RN- Worker's Compensation Case Manager shall be responsible to coordinate, administer, and oversee the Baptist Health Worker's Compensation program. This individual will review, investigate, and make decisions regarding compensability and appropriateness of claims. The RN will process and document worker compensation claims, ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation. Additionally, this individual will be a liaison with and advise external agencies and regulatory bodies in the administration of claims and in the care and disposition of claimants. The RN will also facilitate the transitional duty program. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience:

Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 2 years hospital-based experience in Occupational Health and/or workers compensation experience required. At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.


License / Certification:

Active RN license required, BLS required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
  • Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
