Sr Workday Engineer
Financials, Payroll, Time Tracking and Compensation Focus
Dallas, TX - 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH
Summary
The Senior Workday Engineer will own the end-to-end delivery of Workday HCM and Financial modules, starting with Payroll, Time Tracking and Compensation.
We recently implemented Workday Recruiting, and are on phase 2 of our project now, where you will lead the implementation of these modules, and then drive continuous enhancements and support going forward. We're also looking for this person to drive integrations with Workday, and other applications.
We're looking for Workday Engineers strong with these modules, and specifically with EIBs, Cloud Connectors, Workday Studio, BIRT, and Workday reports.
You also will be meeting with key stakeholders to flush out requirements, design solutions and then be hands on to do the engineering yourself.
What you'll be doing
  • Administer and maintain Workday HCM and Financial modules ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Use Workday's integration tools (such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday Web Services) to design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and third-party applications (e.g., payroll, benefits, time tracking, finance systems)
  • Utilize Workday's REST and SOAP APIs for real-time data exchange with other systems.
  • Support Workday upgrade projects and implementation of new features
  • Monitor integration jobs for failures, and ensure proper error logging and remediation steps are followed
  • Perform periodic updates to integrations, ensuring compatibility with new Workday releases and maintaining compliance with regulatory changes.
  • Keep current with Workday product updates and new features related to integration tools

Skills we're seeking
  • Proficiency in Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services)
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following modules: Payroll, Time Tracking and Compensation
  • Experience working with business stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment
Nice to haves
  • Experience with other Workday HCM and Financial modules, such as Recruiting, Core HR, Benefits, etc.
  • Workday certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or another IT related field
