Job description

Workday Integration Developer

Location: Hybrid in McLean, VA- onsite T,W,Thurs โ€“ must be local to McLean, VA- will not accept relocate Duration: 3 โ€“ 6 month, contract to hire

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand complex business requirements, translating them into technology solutions

Perform solution assessments across Workday integration technologies

Advise on Workday API capabilities/limitations and supported authentication methods

Design and build complex, scalable integrations using the suite of Workday Integration technologies (Reports-as-a-Service, EIB, Document Transformation, Connectors, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services API, and Workday REST API)

Thoroughly test integrations through unit testing and UAT, creating/executing appropriate test scripts, coordinating testing resources, and documenting cases

Analyze the current integration landscape to identify and address technical debt as it relates to functionality, performance, error handling, and scalability

Design and implement robust error-handling mechanisms to ensure appropriate logging and alerting

Debug and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, regression test, and provide resolutions

Provide technical support for HRMS and partner with HRIS/Workday configurations team to thoroughly evaluate, communicate, and coordinate the technical impacts of associated configuration decisions

Evaluate change requests and communicate their impacts to project timeline and budget

Maintain design specifications

Strong proficiency in Workday Reporting, Integration, Business Process and Security Frameworks

Strong attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Strong analytical & problem solving skills

Ability to prioritize work and work independently

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

5+ years of demonstrated Workday integration development experience using Workdays integration tools (i.e., Reports-as-a-Service, Enterprise Interface Builder, Document Transformation, Connectors, Workday Studio, or similar)

Extensive experience working with the following Workday modules - Procure to Pay, Expenses, Strategic Sourcing, and Vendor Management

Workday Pro certifications in Integration Administration/WD Studio

Strong experience using XSLT to transform XML data from Workday reports and WS responses

Strong experience using industry-standard web services technology, which encompass WSDL, SOAP, REST, and the WS-* standards
