Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms like LinkedIn, and certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are commonly valued. What is the 70 30 rule in hiring?

The 70 30 rule in hiring suggests that recruiters and hiring managers should spend approximately 70% of their time on sourcing, screening, and engaging candidates, and 30% on interviewing and evaluating them. This approach helps ensure a balanced focus on candidate pipeline development and thorough assessment during the hiring process.

What is the highest paying recruiter job?

How does a Work Recruiter typically collaborate with hiring managers and team leads during the recruitment process?

They work closely with hiring managers to understand the specific requirements of open positions, define ideal candidate profiles, and tailor job postings accordingly. This collaboration helps streamline the hiring process and ensures that new hires are a strong fit for both the role and the company culture.

Recruiters also manage the hiring process, communicate with applicants, and help ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.

You will attract, recruit, screen, and interview candidates while partnering closely with business leaders to meet aggressive hiring targets for a new facility ramp-up. Success in this position relies on your ability to manage a large requisition load, drive inclusive hiring practices, and deliver strong results on key performance indicators such as fill ratio and time to fill.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, source, and engage a high volume of candidates using multiple channels to support large-scale hiring needs for a new manufacturing facility.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and assess candidate fit for production and warehouse environments.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple open roles simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex recruitment environment.
  • Drive and implement inclusion and diversity strategies across the entire recruiting process to ensure fair and equitable hiring practices.
  • Build strong partnerships with people leaders and HR partners to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and hiring priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support recruitment-related employer branding initiatives and promote the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Monitor and manage key recruitment KPIs, including fill ratio and time to fill, and take proactive actions to improve performance.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems and other recruitment technologies to manage candidate pipelines, maintain accurate records, and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Support local and regional recruitment projects and initiatives as needed, contributing expertise and best practices in high-volume hiring.
  • Communicate regularly with candidates and hiring managers to provide updates, set expectations, and ensure a positive and transparent recruitment process.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet recruitment targets and support broader talent acquisition goals.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience managing end-to-end high-volume hourly recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Proven experience recruiting in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading full cycle recruiting and talent acquisition processes in a fast-paced setting.
  • Track record of driving effective inclusion and diversity strategies throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with business leaders and HR partners to understand and support hiring needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting aggressive recruitment targets.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and stay on task across multiple concurrent requisitions.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple roles and recruitment initiatives in parallel.
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for reporting, communication, and documentation.
  • Ability to engage confidently with people leaders and candidates at various levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for candidate interactions and stakeholder management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience specifically recruiting for machine operators and other production floor roles.

  • Experience supporting local and regional recruitment projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain structured, organized, and detail-oriented under high-volume workload.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing hiring priorities and business needs.
