Job description

If you have industrial maintenance skills and experience, and a strong mechanical aptitude, the Parallel Lumber Group has exciting work opportunities with flexible work schedules. Our company values experience and skill, and does not compromise on safety.

We are seeking individuals with varying levels of industrial maintenance skills and experience for our wood manufacturing plant Boaz, Alabama. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Industrial maintenance experience in a wood manufacturing facility is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Adaptable to changes in work schedules or tasks; willingness to pitch in
  • Physically able to perform tasks in year-round indoor/outdoor environment with varying conditions
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Some electrical and/or welding skills are an asset
  • A proven track record of adhering to safety is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and perform work effectively

  • Troubleshooting machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing
  • Ensuring safety devices function properly; compliance with workplace safety policies and regulations
  • Communicating with team members and management
  • Provide tools of the trade (specialty tools will be provided)
