Job description

Chimney Sweep Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable Chimney Sweep to join our team. The Chimney Sweep will inspect, clean, maintain, and repair residential and commercial chimney systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The successful candidate must provide excellent customer service while completing work safely, accurately, and on schedule.


Chimney Sweep Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect and clean chimneys, fireplaces, wood stoves, and venting systems
  • Remove soot, creosote, debris, and blockages from chimney systems
  • Identify safety hazards, damage, or repair needs and communicate findings to customers
  • Perform minor chimney and fireplace repairs as needed
  • Operate specialized chimney cleaning tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures while working on rooftops, ladders, and elevated surfaces
  • Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment
  • Perform other tasks as requested


Chimney Sweep Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous chimney sweeping, construction, roofing, or related experience preferred
  • Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license
