In the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) group, you'll be responsible for bringing groundbreaking wireless connectivity to the world through Thread, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more. You'll design, develop, and patent the next generation of our state-of-the art connectivity technologies.
Our Carrier & Standards team is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and self-driven Engineering Program Manager to work across layers on cutting edge wireless technologies. In this role, you'll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services. Our goal is to ensure nothing stands in the way of our customers' connections with their devices. If you join us, you'll help build and certify world-renowned wireless systems so seamless that they almost feel like magic.This position will involve overseeing large-scale engineering projects, developing comprehensive project plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing multiple partners across different countries, and driving innovation that significantly impacts the industry.
Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or equivalent major.5-10 years of hands-on experience in certification, wireless development, and system engineering of devices.A demonstrated aptitude as an Engineering Program Manager by managing large-scale complex projects.Familiar with industry/regulatory certification and specifications for type approval.
Experience with wireless standards (Thread, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3GPP) and relevant certification programs.Passion for diving into hard problems and guiding others to build novel solutions.Experience collaborating and providing feedback on technical architecture design while defining the long-term technical strategy.Strong communications skills and experience in partner management.Willingness to travel.
