Job description

Key - Windows Administration and Active Directory.ย 

Shome, new rec with Handelsbanken- Swedish Bank. Contract to hire. USC/GC ONLY, DO NOT NEED A SENIOR PERSON ( 3- 8 Years of experience Max). 5 days on-site NYC, will move to 3 days on-site, 2 days remote. MUST HAVE SOLID COMMUNICATION.

Administer and maintain the Windows Server infrastructure for the New York Branch.ย  In addition, provide first-line technical support for end users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and application issues. Maintain and deploy workstations and servers, manage help desk tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Windows Server environment, including DNS, printing, and terminal services.
  • Administer SQL Server databases, including backups, replication, and queries.
  • Deploy third-party and in-house applications using source control tools.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Internet issues and coordinate with Stockholm for escalations.
  • Oversee daily server health checks, backups, and performance monitoring.
  • Log and manage incidents using the Help Desk system; escalate as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, applications, and hardware.
  • Deploy and configure new workstations and local applications using Microsoft/Third Party tools.
  • Assist with tape management, software licensing, inventory, and documentation.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • SQL server experience preferred but not a requirement.
  • Experience supporting Windows OS workstations and desktop applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
