About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a SQL  Server DBA/Windows Server System Administrator to join our team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and performance of SQL databases for web applications on-prem.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
  • Designs, installs, upgrades, monitors, maintains, and conducts performance tuning procedures in a production MS SQL Server database environment while ensuring high levels of data availability.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees SQL Server database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.
  • Create, maintain, and execute scheduled jobs, data extracts, data refreshes, data loads, and data replication.
  • Develop and implement replication processes for merge and transactional SQL Server replication.
  • Perform data modeling and optimization, preliminary data received from customer designs, data analysis, report writing from existing data using SQL (Structured Query Language) queries, and creation of new records and information updates as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
  • Create automation for repeating database tasks.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
  • Experience with patching Windows 2016 servers
  • Experience with installing and configuring 3rd party software and custom web applications
  • Familiar with Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Familiar with review of ACAS scans and remediation of findings at all levels (critical, high, medium, and low)
  • Ability to STIG SQL Server databases/instances,  Windows OS, Active Directory/forest, and IIS
  • Knowledgeable with Windows Active Directory and domain controllers
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • Minimum with 5+ years of technical experience in Microsoft SQL Server with a similar Application support or Development environment

Required Skills & Certifications: 

  • Knowledge and strong experience and understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, and Replication
  • Experience with various types of SQL Server replication, such as merge and transactional.
  • SQL Server certification and Strong experience with SQL Server 2016 and above
  • CompTia Security +
  • Knowledgeable of T-SQL (Indexes, Triggers, Functions, Packages, and Procedures)
  • Experience with implementing Transparent Database Encryption (TDE) and restoring databases encrypted with TDE.
  • Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 certification- MCSA: Windows Server 2016, strong experience with the Windows server operating system;
  • Strong Experience in High availability (Always On, cluster environment)
  • Strong knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and human relations skills to interact with clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary agile development team

Clearance Requirements: Must possess or be eligible to obtain and complete a government security screening and/or a Secret security clearance.

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
