Description

The Wellness Program Coordinator is responsible for providing excellent customer service to members and guests at Cooper Fitness Center. This position works collaboratively with the Wellness Program Director to deliver high-touch, personalized experiences to improve overall health outcomes and member experience. The Wellness Program Coordinator organizes wellness challenges, annual screenings, and educational events while supporting the fitness floor, and service desk. Operational responsibilities are listed but not limited to the items listed below.


The Wellness Program Coordinator supports Cooper Fitness Center's mission to improve the quality and quantity of members' lives by integrating wellness programming.


Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hrs/wk

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service Desk / Customer Service (15 hrs/week)

Provide exemplary customer service to members, guests, vendors, and fellow teammates.

Follow all policies and procedures for Cooper Fitness Center as designated by the Service Manager and policy and procedures manual. 

Responsible for processing point of sale transactions, laundry distribution to members, reserving tennis courts, private Pilates and other classes, locked locker and other locker room issue resolution.

Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality work environment; including having a high level of teamwork and cooperation as well as strong communication.

Communicate with marketing to compile, stratify and relay member anniversaries on a monthly cadence. 

Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating clientele in these areas.

Attend all mandatory staff meetings and service-related events.

Follow all policies and procedures for Cooper Fitness Center as designated by the Service Manager and policy and procedures manual. 

Support the mission statement and core values.


Cooper Quest/Wellness Program (up to 10 hrs/week) 

Coordinate all aspects of the Wellness Program in partnership with the Wellness Program Director, including scheduling, assessments, member communications, and reporting.

Report directly to Wellness Program Director and provide weekly feedback on customer experience and areas for improvement within operations. 

Assist in planning and implementing Wellness Program challenges, Myzone initiatives, and seasonal engagement campaigns.

Manage Myzone users, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate Myzone communication with members.

Collaborate with Marketing on communication materials for events and wellness programming.

Accurately report and upload monthly member points through Perkville and report metrics to Wellness Program Coordinator. 


Fitness Floor (up to 15 hrs/week)

Actively circulate fitness floor.

Lead core conditioning classes at appropriate times.

Assist members and guests in operating Power Plate vibration training.

Facilitate member-to-member and member-to-staff introductions

Organize the weight room and surrounding cardiovascular areas. 

Replace weights onto racks.

Clean/sanitize all equipment seats/pads and exercise mats; contact housekeeping if additional cleaning is needed. 

Remove broken/worn equipment items from fitness floor and document appropriately. 

Enforce CFC and weight room policies (i.e. shirts, closed-toed shoes required, kids policies).

Stock supplies and equipment as needed.


Requirements

The ideal Wellness Program Coordinator candidate should possess:

Experience in customer service environment (hotel, spa, fitness, retail) with strong ability to recommend and educate the clientele on programs and services.

Excellent customer service required.

Minimum of two years' coursework towards a bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related field required.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

CPR Certification required or 30 days to complete training upon hire.
