Job description

The Program Manager provides a single point of business focus for designated customer programs and manages the satisfaction of customer expectations through program team processes.

What you'll do:
  • Understand and stay current with the broad view of customer expectations and Vanguard business requirements and refine them to specific deliverables.
  • Manage cross-functional customer program teams and communicate program requirements on an on-going basis to functional and business management.
  • Ensure Vanguard management stays appropriately engaged in the program.
  • Conduct regular program reviews internally and with customer to assess program status results.
  • Assures program maintains acceptable level of profitability.
  • Separate business issues requiring attention from issues to be handled by normal functional processes
  • Ensure appropriate cross-functional projects and problem solving are in place to address program issues
  • Maintain adequate technical depth and managerial skill to address customer issues and resource priorities
  • Actively identify, pursue, and win new business from existing customers.
  • Engender confidence in customers and senior management that program requirements are and will be met
  • Communicate proactively to authoritatively solve program problems and minimizes program risks.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements
What you'll need:
  • Highly motivated strong leadership and teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, oral and written communications skills, attention to detail, team spirit and a "hands on" mentality
  • Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to coordinate and prioritize a variety of projects while coordinating the resources necessary to accomplish them.
  • Proficiency in use of technology and automation to achieve overall business goals.
  • Effective attention as a hands-on sales representative with a customer-focused, cost-oriented approach.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field
  • 5+ years leadership within Program Management, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing
  • Experience managing complex projects with duration of 1 or more years.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal development

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business or other related field
  • Two years' experience working directly for an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, a PCB fabrication supplier, electronic component distributor or similar
