As a LiveStrong Program Assistant, you'll support cancer survivors on their journey to regain strength, confidence, and improve their overall quality of life in a welcoming and encouraging YMCA environment.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist the LiveStrong Program Instructor during exercise and support sessions for cancer survivors.
  • Provide encouragement and individualized support to participants throughout each class.
  • Help ensure exercises are modified appropriately based on participants' fitness levels and recovery needs.
  • Monitor participant safety and communicate any concerns or changes to the instructor.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere that promotes connection and accountability.
  • Support program setup, equipment organization, and overall class operations.
  • Follow YMCA policies, safety procedures, and abuse risk management requirements.
