Responsibilities

The Assistant Supervisor, Facilities Management provides on-site operational leadership to ensure a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment. This role directs daily activities and staffing coverage, supports onboarding and ongoing staff training, and offers informal coaching while escalating performance concerns as needed. The Assistant Supervisor monitors service quality, safety practices, and compliance; uses departmental systems such as Nuvolo and Epic for work order management, documentation, and communication; and identifies operational or workflow issues for improvement. The position serves as a key point of contact for internal customers, vendors, and cross functional partners to resolve issues and coordinate services. Additional responsibilities include assisting in hiring processes, supporting workforce planning needs, and representing leadership during assigned shifts while supervisors retain final decision-making authority.


Qualifications

Two-year degree with one year of related experience or high school diploma/GED with two years of related experience required. Post secondary education preferred. Experience in environmental services, healthcare support services, or a related operational field is required, with prior lead or supervisory experience preferred. Must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently within defined authority. Proficiency with computers and operating systems is essential, as is the ability to use data to make informed decisions. Demonstrate commitment to customer service, safety, confidentiality, professionalism, and teamwork is expected. Must be flexible and willing to occasionally support different shifts or operational needs as required. Valid driver's license required.

Schedule Details
Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts, 30-minute unpaid lunch. Variable shift start times based on schedule rotation 7am and 9am.
Weekend Schedule
Work 1 of 3 weekends based on schedule rotation. Start time for Saturday and Sunday is 7am with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. Days off leading up to weekend worked are Thursday and Friday.
