Job description

Plan and Goal Development-
Interns will: • Develop a list of clinical goals based on 12 Core Functions and the intern's academic program expectations. • Review these goals with the MnTC intern supervisor and develop an internship plan during the first week of internship. • Review and modify the plan during weekly meetings with MnTC intern supervisor.
Orientation to MnTC- Interns will: • Attend MnTC Orientation. • Review MnTC policy procedures, schedules, client rules and expectations. • Be given tour of facility, and introduction to staff and leadership. • Be trained on using Procentive for charting and billing purposes. • Review current client charts to gain understanding of needs. • Be assigned a primary counselor to shadow and provide supervision throughout their internship, in addition to intern supervisor.
Clinical Engagement- Interns will: • Attend and participate in all staffings and clinical meetings. • Participate in weekly meetings with intern supervisor to review progress, discuss experiences, set goals, review hours, etc. • Attend lectures and work towards presenting a lecture. • Sit in on 1-1 sessions and learn process of individual counseling, as well as doing sessions on your own with proper supervision. • Chart on clients in their treatment plans with guidance of primary counselor. • Participate in group therapy and work towards co-facilitation, as well as leading on your own with proper supervision. • Be trained on Rule 25, assessments and intake process with assessor and admissions department.
