Job Summary/Description:
KFDA, Newschannel10, the market leader, is looking for a Sports reporter and weekend sports anchor to join our winning team here in Amarillo, Texas. We are looking for a good storyteller who wants to learn in a winning environment with a focus on hyper-local sports.
We are searching for a driven sports reporter with a passion for finding and telling good, local, human-focused sports stories. You will be an integral part of our local sports empire, with not only regular newscasts but also sports shows dedicated to local sports.
Please note - the primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties listed above
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Ability to shoot and edit video, and effectively communicate live on-air
• Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing landscape
• A degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• A strong love for telling unique sports stories and NOT regurgitating national sports
