The Equipment Database & Spare Parts Specialist is an individual contributor responsible for performing the detailed equipment database and spare parts development activities required to support new gas Combined Cycle, CT, and Renewables generation projects across the RRE fleet. This role performs hands-on development and validation of asset database records, Maximo equipment hierarchies, preventive maintenance records, LOTO database information, TagsPro data, equipment tagging, spare parts inventories, Bills of Material (BOMs), and inventory readiness documentation.

The individual will reconcile source information from IFC drawings, Master Equipment Lists (MELs), vendor documentation, equipment manuals, recommended spare parts lists, and other project deliverables to establish accurate and complete equipment and inventory data prior to turnover and operation. This position requires strong knowledge of Maximo, TagsPro, drawing review, equipment data structures, maintenance planning, spare parts management, and plant equipment tagging conventions.

As part of the Plant Integration team, the Equipment Database & Spare Parts Specialist will primarily perform the execution work necessary to build equipment databases and support spare parts readiness for new generation facilities. The role may also provide technical guidance, daily direction, and quality review support to contract resources and other matrixed project personnel but is not intended to serve as a hiring manager or direct supervisor.

Execute equipment database development activities for new generation projects, including MEL and IFC drawing reconciliation, Maximo asset and equipment hierarchy development, equipment data validation, LOTO/TagsPro database development, equipment tagging support, and job plan/preventive maintenance development. Review engineering drawings, vendor documentation, O&M manuals, and project deliverables to ensure equipment data accuracy and readiness for turnover.

Develop and validate spare parts inventories and Bills of Material (BOMs) utilizing vendor recommendations, equipment manuals, MELs, and project documentation. Support stock justification development, Maximo inventory setup, spare parts data validation, and inventory readiness activities associated with new generation projects.

Schedule and track status of work. Coordinate with Plant Integration Team Leads, EPCs, engineering, operations, maintenance, and project stakeholders to obtain source documentation, resolve equipment data discrepancies, communicate status, and support successful project execution.

Provide technical guidance, training, work direction, and quality review for contract Equipment Database Specialists and other matrixed resources supporting assigned projects. Champion equipment database and spare parts processes, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives through data quality audits, lessons learned, and development of best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree AND 2 years minimum required related work experience

  • In lieu of degree and experience listed above, Highschool/GED AND 5 years of minimum required related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Maximo asset, equipment hierarchy, inventory, and material records within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Experience developing preventive maintenance strategies, job plans, maintenance task records, and associated maintenance data within a CMMS environment.

  • Experience performing equipment data validation, quality assurance reviews, and database audits to support accurate and maintainable asset information.

  • Experience developing spare parts inventories, Bills of Material (BOMs), stocking recommendations, and inventory readiness documentation for power generation or industrial facilities.

  • Experience reviewing and reconciling Master Equipment Lists (MELs), IFC drawings, equipment manuals, vendor documentation, recommended spare parts lists, and project deliverables to support equipment database and inventory development.

  • Experience developing equipment tagging, LOTO databases, and TagsPro system configurations.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply mechanical, electrical, civil, process, and instrumentation drawings.

  • Knowledge of inventory management principles, spare parts criticality assessments, maintenance planning practices, and equipment lifecycle management.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SharePoint, Procore, and PIMS.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, training support, and quality review for contract personnel and matrixed project resources.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, vendor representatives, and contract personnel supporting generation projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deliverables, and execute detailed technical work with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge of power plant equipment, systems, and maintenance practices.

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and civil drawings, technical publications and equipment manuals.

  • Must have strong organization skills

  • Must be able to demonstrate problem solving ability

  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of general safety and environmental practices
