Job description

DuBois Integrity Academy seeks a passionate and dedicated Elementary Spanish Teacher to introduce and develop students' Spanish language skills in a fun and engaging learning environment for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will create and implement lessons that align with state and district standards, fostering language acquisition, cultural appreciation, and global awareness among young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging Spanish lesson plans that align with state and district standards, incorporating listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities.
  • Create an immersive language-learning environment by incorporating interactive activities, songs, games, and storytelling to enhance student engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback, differentiated instruction, and support to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date grade books, tracking student progress, assessments, and participation in accordance with school policies and grading guidelines.
  • Foster cultural appreciation and global awareness by integrating Hispanic and Latin American cultures, traditions, and history into lessons.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate Spanish language instruction into interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and confidence in learning a new language.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and ways to support language learning at home.
