Job description

Software Engineer

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Duration: 12 month Contract

Rate: DOE

U.S Citizen, Green Cards and EAD preferred. No Sponsorship available for this contract to hire job.

Technical Requirements and/or Certifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master is desired
  • Six Sigma certified Green Belt or Black Belt is desired

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering or equivalent is required
  • A Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering or equivalent is desired
  • 10+ years of embedded software development experience is required
  • Working experience leading a formal software development process (such as Agile) is required
  • Experience using emulators, oscilloscopes, simulators and software analysis tools is required
  • Experience in embedded software development tools and software languages (C) is required
  • Experience in theory and use of Test Driven Development (TDD) is required
  • Experience working with global software development team is required
  • Experience developing in a UNIX/Linux environment is required
  • Experience with the following software languages is desired: C++, Lua, JS
  • Experience with resource limited microcontrollers is desired
  • Experience with UL60730 (UL1998) is desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project planning and project leadership skills and experience is required
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment
