Shift: Wednesday – Friday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (may include some weekends and holidays)
Pay Rate: $60.00/hour (All-Inclusive)
Position OverviewWork where others vacation—in the beautiful mountain town of Salida, Colorado!
Seeking a Sleep Technologist for its two-bed sleep lab. This position involves performing comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a physician or clinical director.
You will work primarily Wednesday through Friday nights, with flexibility required for occasional weekends, holidays, and coverage shifts.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Preparation & AssessmentCollect, analyze, and integrate patient medical, social, and psychological information.
Explain pre-, intra-, and post-testing procedures to patients.
Determine appropriate testing parameters in collaboration with physicians and protocols.
Document all patient information and test procedures accurately.
Testing ProceduresPrepare and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Apply electrodes and sensors according to established standards.
Conduct PAP (Positive Airway Pressure) mask fitting and physiologic calibrations.
Follow established sleep study protocols, including MSLT, MWT, PAP, oxygen titration, and parasomnia studies.
Monitor and adjust signals for artifact-free data acquisition during sleep studies.
Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions (PAP, oxygen, etc.).
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout testing.
Data Analysis & ReportingScore sleep/wake stages and clinical events following accepted professional guidelines.
Generate detailed and accurate sleep study reports for interpretation.
Maintain quality control standards and adhere to BRPT Standards of Conduct.
Equipment & CompliancePerform routine and complex equipment care and maintenance.
Maintain inventory of supplies and sleep study equipment.
Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
Maintain current BLS or CPR certification.
QualificationsEducation & ExperienceCompletion of a polysomnography program accredited by a state-licensed or nationally accredited institution, or
Completion of an AASM A-STEP program with equivalent experience and demonstrated proficiency in all required competencies.
Experience with NOX software preferred.
CertificationsExperienceMinimum of less than 1 year of experience (recent graduates with certification encouraged to apply).
Ability to provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
