Job description

Job Title: Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist - Sleep Lab

Location:ย Medford, OR

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist to join our team in the Sleep Lab. This role involves conducting overnight sleep studies and assessments for patients with sleep disorders, ensuring accurate data collection, and supporting diagnosis and treatment planning. You will work as part of a team to monitor patients throughout the night and assist with the interpretation of results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct overnight polysomnography and other diagnostic sleep tests.
  • Monitor and record physiological data during sleep studies.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during sleep studies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to review and interpret results.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Epic charting system.
  • Educate patients on sleep study procedures and assist with follow-up care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Contract Duration: 16 weeks.
  • Weekend Requirement: Friday night shift extends into Saturday morning.
  • On-Call: Not required.
  • Floating: No, position does not require floating between units.
  • Block Schedules: Yes, block scheduling is in place.
  • Patient Ratios: 2:1 (2 patients per technologist).

Qualifications:

  • Must have Oregon State Polysomnographer License in hand.
  • 1-year of polysomnography experience required (first-time travelers welcome).
  • 48-hour work weeks are not approved for this position.
