TITLE: Secretary/Bookkeeper Job Description (Elementary School 3-5)
This position is ____exempt or __X__non-exempt.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Performs a broad range of complex and routine school office operations utilizing advanced administrative, technology, data management, and financial/bookkeeping skills with minimal supervision. Demonstrates strong initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while managing complex accounts and detailed financial records.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and additional business/secretarial courses; two to three years secretarial experience in progressively responsible positions, preferably in a school system; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which would provide the acceptable knowledge, skills and abilities as listed in the performance responsibilities.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Competitive salary according to School Board Pay Plan and contract length of 12 months, eight hours per day.
