Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Hockey Manager, the Scorekeeper performs responsible tasks of scorekeeping to support the services and operations of the Hockey Department.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00

Responsibilities
  • Effectively operate and understand the use of the Iceplex scoreboard
  • Utilize hockey knowledge to track the play for certain clock sequences. Keep an accurate accounting of statistics for league games on an IPad separate from the scoreboard
  • Effectively multitasking between both the scoreboard controls and the IPad for statistics
  • Operate both penalty box doors for players entering and exiting the box
  • Communicate effectively with the referees. Possess basic hockey knowledge
  • Be courteous and professional
  • Performs all work in compliance with established Iceplex safety standards

Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a scoreboard during sporting events is preferred but not required.
  • Must accept delegated responsibilities willingly.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive self-image for Iceplex.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work evenings-common nights include Sunday-Wednesday/Hours 6:00pm-11:00pm
  • Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with customers, peers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to instructions set forth by supervisors, policy, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with guests of all ages.
