TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.

UNIT:  TELE 11T ENHANCED RECOVERY
CLINICAL INTERVIEW

Unit Information:
Beds: 36
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years Med/Tele RN exp (Resource Team)
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred but will consider (Resource Team)

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Complex GI Surgeries to include Partial and Total Colectomy, Bowel Resections, Anastomosis, Whipple, Distal Pancreatectomy/Splenectomy, Liver Resection
Trauma Overflow

Patient Ratios:  RN: 1:4-6; (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)

Skills Required:
Experience with the above-mentioned patients
General Med/Tele skillset: basic cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc), PCA pumps
Medication gtt management to include: Heparin, blood products, IVF, Cardiac drips

Floating: If yes, where?
Within region and scope of practice
Will be required to float per region needs โ€“ will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice โ€“ DECLINE if not agreeable

Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other
No call for travelers
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays โ€“ must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
