Job purpose
The Director, Insights & Revenue Growth Management leads multi-disciplinary analytic and insights capabilities at High Liner Foods. This leader will spearhead the development of best-in-class consumer & category management insights and revenue management capabilities, converting these insights to actionable recommendations to drive growth and profit for the High Liner business and our customer partners. This unique opportunity will allow the Director to create, deploy and execute RGM strategies working collaboratively with cross functional business partners, inclusive of the development and implementation of strategic frameworks, governance routines, and analytic tools that will enable us to deliver actionable recommendations with positive return. In this high-impact role, this incumbent will be working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders. Essential Duties and responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performance Revenue Growth Management, Insights and Category Management team, building on existing capabilities
  • Drive revenue management analytics, recommendations, and frameworks for day-to-day operations as well as strategic long-term initiatives
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape to provide strategic insights for short and long-term business planning.
  • Lead and analyze a broad set of market data related to pricing, promotion, assortment, sizing, and product type for High Liner Foods and the category.
  • Make critical RGM recommendations to senior leadership based upon in-depth analysis using internal and syndicated resources.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and product development to develop portfolio and brand strategies, guardrails and guidelines and price architecture.
  • Directs and owns end-to-end research into action process, understanding the consumer, shopper & operator journey and translating to customer-centric business insights
  • Drives a culture of consumer and customer centricity, insight generation and analytical prowess.
  • Partners closely with Retail and Foodservice Sales teams to understand customer strategic objectives, leveraging insights and analytics to identify category growth opportunities
  • Owns the relationships with data partners, management and reporting of the budget
  • Recommends best approach and research partners based on the objectives defined in the marketing or customer strategy.
  • Directs the team in developing analytic tools, leveraging AI to drive efficiency
  • Develop, document, and communicate trade allocation strategies to help steer funding decisions to meet sales growth and profitability objectives.
  • Partners closely with marketing directors to provide analytics and to design experiments that will help quantify the impact of various growth strategies and tactics.

Qualifications
  • Progressive leadership experience, ability to drive team results and innovation.
  • 5+ years of experience in Revenue Management, Business Development, Trade Analytics, Sales, Finance, or Customer Marketing within the CPG industry
  • 8+ years of progressive work experience in marketing research, consumer insight and marketing data management
  • Results driven/achievement focused: always keeps the end goal in mind. Strong focus on business outcomes, gap closure, driving decision making in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Delivers through empowerment encourages ownership to resolve issues where they are happening.
  • Organizational agility: develops and leverages strong internal and external relationships to drive a positive business outcome.
  • Financial Acumen: strong business and financial acumen, demonstrated experience in developing promotional strategies that bring revenue and profit growth. Experience with P&L management and analysis
  • Data-Proficiency: Proven experience in leading and management of large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity. Proficient in advanced data analytics leveraging a vast array of syndicated data (Circana/Nielsen, Supply Track, Retailer Data, etc.)
  • RGM Expertise: Experience with building multiyear RGM roadmaps inclusive of portfolio and product planning as it relates to channels, pricing, pack architecture & promotions.
  • Consumer Insights: Knowledge of insights tools and processes including segmentation and demand spaces (need states), positioning and concept development and optimization, product development and optimization, packaging development, volumetric assessment and cannibalization.
  • Category Insights: Strong expertise in Category Management principles including pricing and promotional analytics, assortment optimization, planograms, etc.
  • University degree in Business or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Prior experience with TPM (Trade Promotional Management) systems is an asset
