Description
The Product Owner is a member of a cross-functional agile development team, responsible for defining business requirements and prioritizing a project backlog. Their essential responsibility is to understand the business problem and ensure the solution being built meets the business needs.
What you will do:
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined
  • Communicate and work with cross-functional development and business teams in an Agile development environment
  • Provide vision and direction to agile development team and stakeholders
  • Create and own a prioritized project backlog
  • Gather and document business requirements; ensure acceptance criteria is understood
  • Collaborate with team leadership on release planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional commercialization team to ensure internal readiness
  • Oversee the review and prioritization aspects of production defect management

What you should bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, UX design, IT & Business Education, Computer Science or related area, or equivalent experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience with agile development process; certified Agile Product Owner preferred
  • Strong analytical, questioning and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build rapport, establish credibility and trust
