Peaceful Harmony, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services remotely. This full-time role focuses on assisting individuals affected by mental health issues, including arrestees and community members, by delivering effective de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and comprehensive action planning. Work Environment

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing our LPCCs the flexibility to provide mental health counseling from the comfort of their homes. While working independently, counselors will engage closely with law enforcement, mental health facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery. Our outpatient office serves as a hub for collaboration, where counselors may gather for training or strategic meetings as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records of patient information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with law enforcement, mental health crisis units (CSUs), hospital staff, and psychiatrists to develop a network of support for patients.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations in the field alongside police officers to determine the necessity for 5150/5585 applications, facilitating appropriate involuntary detention when needed.
  • Provide immediate, short-term crisis counseling to non-violent patients experiencing mental health episodes, utilizing proven therapeutic techniques.
  • Accompany law enforcement during mental health crises to offer professional support and guidance.
  • Help train police personnel in mental health crisis intervention to promote de-escalation techniques and reduced use of force.
  • Deliver comprehensive case management in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and psychiatric facilities, regularly checking in with patients to monitor their progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on serving a diverse population, including individuals with complex mental health needs, those in crisis situations, and members of the community requiring immediate assistance. Our LPCCs are integral in providing sensitive and responsive care to help clients navigate their challenges and connect them with the appropriate resources for further support.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.
