JOB SUMMARY

The Compliance Coordinator assists with quality assurance reviews, contract reviews and audit integrations. This position coordinates data into easily understood reports, helps create documentation determined by audit findings and assists with circulating documentation to participating departments.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the quality assurance process, contract reviews and audits.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting as assigned.
  • Assist with data audits within the billing and customer information systems.
  • Perform scheduled and general audits
  • Send scheduled reminders to internal and external customers regarding deadlines.
  • Assist with providing documentation and support for new municipal contracts, initiatives and business process improvement projects.
  • Determine and implement new process improvements.
  • Create procedural and training documentation.
  • Notify the appropriate staff members of errors and provide clear instruction explaining how to correct the errors.
  • Learn the process for commercial account setup and maintain general knowledge.
  • Participate in department meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent
  • At least two years of experience reviewing, auditing or proofreading contracts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent proofreading skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications โ€“ e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to write reports and create documentation
  • Basic proficiency with navigating the internet
  • Ability to interact appropriately with internal and external customers
  • Ability to demonstrate skill in data analysis techniques
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at once
  • Availability to work overtime or weekends as required by business needs


PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of college-level courses in Business Administration or Finance or completion of continuing education courses
  • Experience with data entry review, auditing, or proofreading
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices
