Pool Attendant (Seasonal) - Arlington Heights, IL
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Seasonal (May through Labor Day)
Hours: 7 days per week, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor pool area to ensure residents and guests comply with all community rules and regulations
  • Maintain a visible and attentive presence at all times while on duty
  • Greet residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Check in guests in accordance with property policies and verify authorized access
  • Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the pool area
  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, including:
    • Removing trash and debris
    • Emptying garbage receptacles
    • Straightening and organizing pool furniture
  • Report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to management promptly
  • Ensure all coolers and items brought into the pool area comply with property policies
  • Monitor that pets in the pool area are leashed and compliant with community rules
  • Remain within the designated work area at all times during scheduled shifts
  • Follow all emergency procedures and utilize provided contact lists when necessary

Professional Conduct Expectations
  • Remain in uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Provide respectful, friendly, and professional interactions with all residents and guests
  • Refrain from engaging in gossip or discussing confidential or sensitive information
  • Do not fraternize with residents or guests under any circumstances
  • Do not perform non-job-related tasks (e.g., running errands, pet care, vehicle monitoring)
  • Personal cell phone use is prohibited while on duty except for emergencies or work-related purposes

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, or residential experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to enforce rules in a professional and respectful manner
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Work Environment
  • Outdoor work environment with exposure to heat, sun, and weather conditions
