Position Description: Press Brake Operator 

As the Fabrication Machine Operator for the Press Brake at Layer Zero Power Systems, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the press brake machines to bend and shape various types of metal for our products. This role will include preparing, setting up, and adjusting the press brake as required by the product plans and production schedule. It is also vital to ensure that there are sufficient raw materials available. LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. needs a quick learning and ambitious worker to join our team.  

Requirements

Primary Duties: 

  • Responsible for all aspects of production of parts on press brake 

Production 

  • Machine operation 
  • Work with production engineering to pull programs for production 
  • Separate, label/catalog completed parts 

Maintenance 

  • Daily start-up & shut-down procedure 
  • Daily end-of-day clean-up of machine 
  • Regular maintenance of tools 
  • Clean & lubricate tooling upon completion of daily production 
  • Floor cleaning in surrounding area 
  • Quality inspecting of parts and materials. 

Experience & Skills:  

  • 5+ Experience in operation of Press Brake required 
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/prints 
  • Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers 
  • Ability to understand machine programs 
  • Ability to modify machine programs 
  • Ability to use PC for basic editing; logging 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
