Responsibilities:

Presbyterian is looking for an RN for our Cardiac Step Down unit. This unit is comprised of a

38-bed unit committed to the health of our patients by providing the highest level of care using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. The unit provides patient-focused, specialized care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for various cardiovascular disorders, including cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Patients recovering from myocardial infarction, coronary intervention, pacemaker implantation and electrophysiology procedures are also cared for on this unit.  Our unit also has approximately 50% regular progressive care-type patients.  Cardiac Progressive Unit provides quality care to all its patient populations through a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. Comprehensive, professional patient care is provided during the inpatient stay, followed by personalized discharge planning to meet outpatient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associate Degree: Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred

  • Credentials: Registered Nurse-NM, State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License Academic Preparation:

  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
