Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Profession: Registered Nurse

Shift: Day

Hours per Shift: 10

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required

License: Pending license accepted

Certifications: BCLS, ACLS

Must-Have: Experience in endoscopy, sedation, and recovery

Description: No locals within 100 miles. COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of exemption form signed by a provider. Ratios: 1:1. First-timers accepted. Weekend requirements: No. On-call required: 1-2 days per week; expected to work past scheduled end time on occasion. Must float within the scope to meet facility needs. Experience with screening, surveillance, colonoscopies, EGDs, esophageal manometries, anorectal manometries, pH studies, and paracentesis preferred. Skills required: administering conscious sedation, specimen handling, starting and maintaining IVs, monitoring conscious sedation, and interpreting management of dysrhythmias. Patient care focus on adults and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 12-24 patients. Unit supports advanced procedures including EUS and ERCPs. Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services. Compliance requirements must be met promptly. RTO restrictions apply; specific holiday requests may need approval. Personal transportation is required. Travelers must have a valid driver's license. Modules will be completed during orientation, with certain limitations. This position is subject to strict compliance requirements.
