Position Summary
Position Summary
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to gain experience and work with skilled Medical and Pharmacy professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting? If so, the College of Pharmacy - New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center (NMPDIC) is looking for students to assist with the following duties and responsibilities under the supervision of licensed pharmacist(s), faculty, and/or other upper management professionals:
  1. Assist with frontend responsibilities including answering phone, assisting guests, taking messages, checking Xerox paper supplies, stock coffee, scanning and filing documents and other administrative tasks.
  2. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including overseeing Client Satisfaction Survey program.
  3. Data entry, creating and editing documents, forms and files.
  4. Prepare mailings and documents for mailings and public education.
  5. Participate in collection of data from internal databases for research purposes.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare professional rotators at the NMPDIC during clinical rounds.
  7. Observe poison center call center consultations to gain exposure to patient assessment and toxicology case management.
