Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity critical care assignment. This role requires strong experience managing critically ill ICU patients, ventilators, vasoactive drips, CRRT, and cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced acute care setting. Candidates with progressive ICU experience are encouraged to apply. First-time travelers are accepted with strong ICU background.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU/CCU patients with a typical 1:2 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, PICCs, and vasoactive drips
• Administer blood products, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation
• Perform comprehensive cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, renal failure, CVA/stroke, GI surgery, and respiratory compromise
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and provide chest tube management
• Operate and monitor CRRT/CVVHD therapy
• Perform suctioning, ABG interpretation, and ventilator management
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR preferred
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Float to appropriate units as needed based on facility requirements
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience preferred
• Progressive ICU experience strongly preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 1:2 required
• Must be comfortable floating
• Weekends required
• First-time travelers accepted
• ACLS and BLS required
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, CRRT, and critical care monitoring required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• LTAC and Trauma Level II experience preferred
Qualifications
Education:
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU/Critical Care RN experience preferred
• Acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Progressive ICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, CRRT, and critical care monitoring required
• Experience in high-acuity ICU/CCU settings preferred
License:
• Active RN license required

• CPI, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC preferred
