Laboratory Technician - Lincoln, NE

Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine and specialized testing to ensure product quality and compliance with company standards. This role supports daily lab operations, maintains equipment, and documents results accurately in designated systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for production, quality control, and minor research purposes.
  • Test and analyze products to determine if they meet plant specifications prior to release.
  • Release within specification and report out-of-specification product.
  • Document results of tests, readings, and observations in Total Lab Client (TLC).
  • Complete Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for shipments.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for use in laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and related field instrumentation. 
  • Perform pH calibration, Vomitoxin testing, farinograph analysis, and NIR diagnostics per schedule.
  • Collect and prepare samples for enrichment, microbiological, and protein testing.
  • Conduct metal detector checks and sanitation tasks according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Maintain awareness and adhere to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA, and employer standards and guidelines.
  • Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated troubleshooting ability. 
  • Strong attention to detail. Ability to understand and comply with plant GMP and personnel practice requirements.
  • Computer skills to utilize lab instrument operation programs.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Math skills to perform calculations associated with lab testing. 
  • Good attendance, including flexible schedule and ability to work weekends or holidays as needed.
