Lab Technician

Job Description

This entry-level lab technician role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a rapidly growing company. The position does not require a degree and involves a variety of tasks including documentation, inventory management, and participation in the batch release process. The technician will play a supporting role in the lab by setting up equipment, preparing media, organizing, and creating specification sheets for scientists.

Responsibilities

  • Document and manage inventory with attention to detail.
  • Participate in the batch release process for raw materials, inactive and active ingredients, and finished goods.
  • Engage in 3rd party contract releases and handle customer sample releases, including communication with customers.
  • Manage inventory of materials on hold or quarantine.
  • Maintain all stability commitments, ensuring stabilities are sampled and stored appropriately.
  • Pull stabilities at the beginning of each month for review.
  • Sample and handle raw materials, inactive and active ingredients, and finished goods.
  • Approve all containers and generate specification sheets for testing.
  • Track annual testing and log information in the appropriate logbook.
  • Coordinate with production on the schedule for sampling.
  • Ensure document control, including record retention for seven years and archive management.
  • Update and maintain master files, SOPs for production and laboratory, and approved vendor letters.
  • Verify vendors and maintain an updated index log for master logs.

Essential Skills

  • Attention to detail and high level of initiative.
  • Experience in documentation and basic lab preparation.
  • Proficiency in document control, lab preparation, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with GMP, QC, batch record, and labeling processes.

Pay and Benefits
