Job description

We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE NEW Incineration unit is seeking an Entry-level Lab Technician that is responsible for the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties using chromatography and spectroscopy techniques. Starting pay is NEW wage, $22.50 an hour, paid weekly.  Safety focused individuals required. This is a great opportunity for college students or recent high school grads wanting to gain some work experience.

  • Positive and safe work environments Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Performs analysis of facility samples using GC, GCMS, ICP, and various analytical laboratory instruments
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed
  • Properly manage waste generated as a result of analytical procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all applicable OSHA regulations
  • Log samples electronically into lab database. Attaches reporting spreadsheet(s) to record. Scans COC and other incoming paperwork and attaches to electronic record. Scans raw data and attaches to electronic record.
  • Manages Lab Supply Room. Receives supplies and reagents. Keeps supply storage tidy and chemical inventory log current. Creates sampling kits (such as stormwater kits)
  • Manages Sample Storage and disposes of samples. Keeps sample storage organized and tidy
  • Scans other records and electronically files them, such as GC/MS raw data.
  • Keeps the Chemical Inventory list up to date to comply with OSHA requirement
  • Assist Chemists as necessary as time permits.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management
