What You'll Do:
  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
  • Drive a tractor trailer to and from the main plant and the secondary warehouse across town to transport raw materials needed for production
  • Facilitate loading and offloading of liquid and solid raw materials and products onto bulk trailers and dry vans
  • Maintain the company warehouse through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
  • Follow First-In-First-Out procedures
  • Work with administrative coordinators to assist scheduling large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
  • Trouble shoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods
  • Sample materials coming into and going out of the facility for testing by the quality control lab
  • Housekeeping/5S of warehouse facilities
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
  • High School diploma or equivalent education or minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar environment in lieu of education
  • 1+ year of related experience preferred, specifically semi-truck and forklift experience
  • Valid forklift certification preferred
