Position Overview:
The Kitchen Steward plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of the kitchen at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This position is responsible for maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards, supporting the culinary team by keeping kitchen tools and equipment clean, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are clean and readily available.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following health and safety regulations.
  • Regularly clean kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, and storage areas to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Replenish kitchen supplies such as plates, cutlery, and glassware in a timely manner.
  • Follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations as per luxury resort standards.
  • Adhere to fire and safety protocols, including proper handling of kitchen waste and spills.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen workstations before and after service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
