Job description

Lure Fish House is looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Kitchen Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a strong back-of-house leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and takes pride in quality, consistency, cleanliness, and team development.
Position Summary
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for supporting daily back-of-house operations and helping lead the kitchen team to success. This role oversees food quality, kitchen organization, staff performance, prep and line execution, sanitation standards, and overall efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and committed to maintaining the high standards that guests expect at Lure Fish House.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and support all back-of-house functions
  • Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently to company standards
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and sanitation at all times
  • Help manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and product rotation
  • Control food waste and support labor and cost efficiency
  • Create and maintain prep lists, pars, and kitchen procedures
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and team accountability
  • Work closely with management to maintain smooth service and strong communication
  • Step into stations and support the team as needed during busy service periods
  • Help maintain equipment and communicate repair or maintenance needs

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar kitchen leadership role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with inventory, ordering, and cost control preferred
