Job description

Our local restaurant client is seeking 2 part-time Kitchen Team Members to join their team at their Scripps Ranch location. This is a counter/pick-up/delivery location and a great way to get your foot in the door with a local award-winning restaurant group.

About this Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall culinary experience. If you have a passion for food service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on board.

  • Work Location: In person, part-time
  • Level: Entry with advancement potential as you learn
  • Shifts: 1 x Morning & Weekends; 1x Evening & Weekends (4pm to 9pm) <15-30 hours per week>
  • Rate: $17.75/hr + Kitchen Tip Pool

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing meals and ingredients according to established recipes and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all food handling and safety procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Support catering operations by preparing and packaging food items for events as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly disposing of waste.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while adhering to all operational standards.
  • Participate in training sessions on food safety, meal preparation techniques, and other relevant topics as required.
