Become a Part-Time Kitchen Aide/Prep Cook for Villa Redondo!

**NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN**

Schedule needed: Sat/Sun (6am-3pm)

Villa Redondo Care is an assisted living facility for the elderly (ages 59+) community located in Downtown Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking a results driven and hardworking Kitchen Aide/Prep Cook to join our assisted living team. Qualifications (non-negotiable):

  • Able to clear DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
  • Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Flexible scheduling. Position may include weekends and holidays
  • Experience in cooking and kitchen preferred

Job Description:

  • Prepare and serve food to residents in our community
  • Ensure all special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food as directed
  • Identify and develop new initiatives and areas of improvements to better serve our residents
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and dining room utensils, informing Administrator of any challenges or safety hazards
  • Attend all monthly in-services and facility staff meetings obtaining proper documentation of each meeting or training
  • Be fully aware of individual resident likes, dislikes and health restrictions
