Job description

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Our goal is to be regarded as an irreplaceable resource by our customers. The only way for a company to meet such a goal is to consistently meet production deadlines and expectations.

Position Description: Quality Inspector will perform in-process and final inspections, evaluate part to print / specifications. The Quality Inspector must understand the inspection methods used and support the manufacturing process and personnel, while adhering to the Quality Policy and AS 9100 requirements. Position reports to the Quality Leader and takes daily direction from shift Lead personnel. The position is for WEEKEND NIGHT shift - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM; working 36 hours and receiving a 4-hour bonus, totaling 40 hours, also includes a 35% shift differential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprint and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) requirements
  • Comply to customer specifications and requirements
  • Use inspection gages such as micrometers, test indicators, Faro Arm, and optical comparator
  • Inspection with CMM machines / coordinate systems
  • Complete in-process inspections and final inspections as required
  • Make mold castings and interpret results using optical comparator
  • Visual inspection for defects and UVC’s
  • Complete all paperwork, as required, including inspection reports and CMM report review

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years at reading blueprints & GD&T (aerospace preferred)
  • 5+ years of inspection gaging and visual experience (aerospace preferred)
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience including understanding of document control and job operations
  • 2+ years of coordinate measuring machines / systems is a plus. (Will be trained on the use of a Faro Arm)
  • Ability to work well with others as a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for documenting inspection results
  • General computer knowledge
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is highly important

Candidates will be required to pass a written exam of the above requirements.
